Run, Run, Run!

Last night I ran my first 5k of the year! Next week I will be signing up for the St. Jude half marathon again! I never thought I would want to do another half-marathon! It's really a life changing experience!!

The LUVGLO 5k was super fun! Our team was called the Neon Ninjas! Before the race we went to the pre-party and put glow paint on and dance! IT. WAS. AWESOME. After that, the race starts. We were in the first wave, which left at 9:30. We ran all through downtown Memphis. (parts that I've never seen before). At the end of the race, you jump into a huge swimming pool. (I did not jump in the pool because it was so cold outside and germs). So that's the LUVGLO! I wanna give a shout out to my best friend, Tori for going with me, taking pictures, and being a spectator! Here are some pictures from last night! Enjoy!

Almost. There.

Summer is almost here! I cannot wait for time with family, going to the beach, and working. Okay maybe not that last part but I have no option ;). I will be an only child again this summer. Kelsey will be working at Camp Tahkodah again! I hope to blog more this summer, since I will not be as busy as I am now!

I have my last day of classes at EACC tomorrow. Next week I have finals on Tuesday and Thursday! I am so ready to be done with school! Even though I only go to school on Tuesday and Thursday's, school has exhausted me this semester. But, I know I will never have a schedule like this again so I need to enjoy it while it lasts, right?! Friday I will be going to ASU to have a tour and get my schedule figured out! I am very excited about this new chapter in my life! My mom is so excited that I am going to ASU! ;) Here is a plate I made a couple months ago at The Painted Pig in Little Rock! So much fun!

This past weekend I went to Conway to hang out with my best friends! I had an awesome time just hanging out with them and making memories! I also told them that I would give them a shout out on my blog, so here it is! ;) Here are some picture from the weekend! Thanks for letting me visit y'all!

Sarah & I when we thought we saw a mouse!  Sarah you keep me laughing!!
Casey, Jovi, & I at the nature trail! Don't know what  I would do without y'all!

Miranda & I in the light tunnel at Hendrix!! Y'all she got her hip pierced  on Saturday! brave soul!
My best friend, Hunter! Y'all I wouldn't have made it through freshman year without him!
So as you can see, I had a lot of fun!!! I miss these people so much when I am not there!!

I would also like to give a shout out to my aunt and dad! Their birthday is on Friday! I will not say any ages on here ;) Happy Birthday, y'all! I love you both!

Thanks for reading & see y'all next time!

Nawlins'

Wow, what a weekend is all I have to say! If you know me at all you know I LOVE sports and everything about them. I had an amazing time and got to meet some amazing people. I will go day by day and tell you what we did and who we saw and all that good stuff.

Friday 2/1/13
I woke up at 4:00 AM to get ready to head to Memphis and catch the Amtrak train. We left Wynne, AR, where I live, at 5:15 AM and arrived in Memphis at about 6:15. I’ve ridden the train before but never by myself so I was very anxious. I got all my stuff settled on the train and I was kind of bummed that I had to sit by someone but it ended up being fine. We talked about sports the whole time, haha. AND my mom ended up coming to the train station to see me before I left, what a surprise! The train left at 6:50 AM and we were on our way. Okay, this was a long train ride. (7 hours). I didn't get to Hammond, LA until about 2:00 PM.
Once I got to Hammond, my aunt and uncle were waiting on me and we went to eat at Panera Bread. Friday night, I got to go to my first Mardi Gras parade. Ahh, it was so much fun! I got some beads, cups, a teddy bear, and a football! It was awesome! My aunt held a sign that was pointing to me that said “My 1st Mardi Gras Parade”.  Ssshhh… that got me more beads. ;)

Saturday 2/2/13
Me, my aunt  and uncle woke up early and headed down to New Orleans!!! We rode the street car (trolley) to downtown New Orleans. When we first got off the streetcar we immediately saw Cris Carter! C’mon mannnn! It was so cool seeing him right before he got into the Hall Of Fame later that day. We ate lunch at New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood! Delicious! We went to listen to some music by the river. After that we got to go to the CNN Bleacher Report! & Yes here is a picture of me on TV!It was awesome!! We ended the night with dinner at WOW Wings! It was an awesome day to spend my last day as a teenager :)

Here is a list of all the people I saw on Saturday: ( & a picture if I got one)

Sunday 2/3/13
Yay! My 20th birthday!! We woke up, had breakfast and then we headed back to New Orleans!!! The streetcar was packed so we ended up walking most of the day but we got on the streetcar when we headed back to our car! Walking downtown we saw and got to meet James Carville from CNN. Nice Guy! We went to lunch at Hard Rock Cafe. I got very embarrassed when they took me up on stage and announced that it was birthday and I got a birthday shoutout from the whole restaurant!! Then we went to watch the 610 stompers that were performing right off of Burboun Street. After that we headed back to Mandeville where my aunt and uncle live to get ready for the game! We ended up going to their friends lake house for a shrimp boil!! It was super fun and I got a mardi gras cake! I could not of asked for a better birthday! It was AMAZING!

19 going on 20!

Hey y'all!

This will be a very short blog!

I cannot believe that Kelsey and I will be turning 20 in just 4 short days!! I am definitely ready to say goodbye to my teenage years even though I do not want to grow up! I leave for New Orleans on Friday morning! I will be riding the train down to Louisiana to stay with my Aunt Tracey and Uncle Doug! We will be going on the ultimate Super Bowl experience! I can't wait to tell y'all about it!
